Hey,

My name is Seán, and I’m a musician and guitar tutor based in Mid-Devon and Exeter. I have been teaching music full-time since graduating from the Academy of Music & Sound Exeter with a 2:1 degree classification in 2016. I currently offer lessons in half a dozen local schools, as well as 1-to-1 private tuition both in person and online.

I specialise in providing guitar lessons for beginner to intermediate players of all ages, with a particular interest in pop and rock music and the vast array of surrounding sub-genres. I aim to keep my lessons as practical and relaxed as possible, avoiding unnecessary jargon and focusing more on actually playing the guitar. All sessions are tailored to each individual, whether you’re just looking to play along to your favourite songs or want to get down to the nitty-gritty and talk about theory, technique, expression, tone, songwriting, improvisation, and more — I can help.

I am DBS certified, public liability insured, safeguarding trained, and a member of the Musician’s Union.

When I’m not making noise or teaching, I enjoy collecting old punk/rock records, having a coffee and a mooch with my wife, and attending parkrun.
